Neil Hawkes

Neil Hawkes works with the Council of Yukon First Nations (CYFN) as the Energy and Sustainability Analyst. Neil has a background in carpentry, mechanical engineering and renewable energy. In his spare time, he enjoys building things, hiking, spending time on the water, and spending time with his wife and young daughter. Originally from Nanaimo BC, in the past 4 years Neil has lived and worked in the community of Nain, Labrador; including over two years working with the Nunatsiavut Government to help improve energy sustainability in the five Labrador Inuit communities. In Neil’s Energy and Sustainability position at CYFN, he supports Yukon First Nations and their communities in strengthening energy security and sustainability - addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation.
